The Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology (FSCT) announced that Gail Pollano has been nominated for election as FSCT president-elect.

BLUE BELL, PA — The Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology (FSCT) announced that Gail Pollano, Coatings marketing manager for NeoResins, has been nominated for election as FSCT president-elect. David P. Jack, technical sales representative, Technical Coatings Co. Ltd., has been nominated for election as secretary-treasurer.

Pollano and Jack are scheduled for election at the organization’s Annual Meeting, Oct. 18-20 in Chicago. Current President-Elect J. Dick Mullen, vice president of Marketing for Rampart Coatings of Aurora, CO, is scheduled to assume the FSCT presidency at the close of the Annual Meeting.

Pollano has held a number of key committee positions with the FSCT, including chairman of the Technical Advisory Committee. She received the Federation’s highest honor, the George Baugh Heckel Award, in 1998. Jack has been a member of the FSCT board since 1996, and is a past president of the Toronto Society for Coatings Technology.

The FSCT also announced nominations for the organization’s Executive Committee and board of directors. Nominated for election to the Executive Committee are Richard M. Hille, The Flood Co.; Robert D. Thomas, consultant; Andrew Traister, Porter Paints; Patricia Shaw, Athey Technologies; and Joseph P. Walton, Jamestown Paint Co. and Federation president in 1994-95. Kevin E. Pelling, Chemroy Canada Inc., has been nominated for election to the board of directors as a member at large.
