DEARBORN, MI - The American Chemical Society's Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering (PMSE) issued an invitation for nominations for the 2005 Roy W. Tess Award in Coatings, a prize that recognizes "outstanding individual achievements and noteworthy contributions to coatings science, technology and engineering."

The $2,000 award will be presented on Aug. 29, 2005, at the National Meeting of the American Chemical Society in Washington D.C.

Nominations are invited from industry, academia and government, and should be sent to David R. Bauer, Tess Award Chairman at: Ford Motor Co., Research Laboratory MD3182, P.O. Box 2053, Dearborn, MI 48121.

All finalized nominations for the 2005 Tess Award should be submitted prior to Sept. 1, although nominations received after that date will be considered for the succeeding year's award.
