ORGASOL® ultrafine polyamide powders are polymers and copolymers of lauryllactame and/or caprolactame obtained by direct polymerization. Due to this unique process, these powders are available as micro-porous spherical beads with a very narrow particle size distribution. Grades differ in particle size (from 5 to 60 microns), specific surface area and melting point. The company has added high-fastness red shades to its range of high-performance pigments. These new products, based on diketopyrrolopyrrol (DPP), will be manufactured at a new production plant at the HPP1 plant at the Frankfurt/Höchst site scheduled to come on stream in the fourth quarter 2004. Hostaperm® Red D2G 70 LV 2647 is a high-quality red pigment that is suitable for use in automotive OEM finishes and refinishes. Hostaperm Red D3G 70 LV 2884 red pigment is intended for use mainly in industrial paints. 50-990 Universal Water pigment dispersions are based on a unique, zero-VOC and glycol-free binder. They have proven compatibility with many waterborne coatings, having a pH range of 4.5 to 9.5.
