Joseph F. Indihar, age 62, of Richmond, Va., died November 1, 2005. Mr. Indihar began his career at Celanese Corporation in Detroit, where, as a research chemist, he was instrumental in the development of the first basecoat/clearcoats for automotive coatings. His knowledge and love of his work also brought about the development of epoxy/acrylic primers along with high solids for automotive primers. His expertise led him to work for the O'Brien Corp., Mansfield Paint Co., D&L Paint Co., Diamond Vogel Co. and Savers Systems Co. After retirement, he acted as a consultant in the paint field.
