KOLKATA, India - Berger Paints will have two new manufacturing facilities commissioned, one in Rewari, India, and the other in Kraskadar, Russia, within one year.

Subir Bose, managing director, Berger Paints, said that the Rewari unit in Haryana would begin production in January 2007, while the Russian plant will start up this July. He further added that the Rewari unit would be the company's eighth unit being set up at an investment of Rs 35 crore. It will produce paints for the automotive sector. The Russian unit will be the company's second overseas venture, estimated to cost $2.5 million, and is targeted at the decorative segment.
