Degussa-Hüls AG, Frankfurt am Main, Germany, said it is investing approximately 80 million euros in a modernization and expansion program for the company’s Wesseling, Germany, precipitated silicas production site. The project, expected to be completed in 2003, will significantly increase production capacity from the current global total of 250,000 tons per year, the company said.
