The award was presented to Abrams at the division's annual dinner on Oct. 18 in New York by Richard Roob, retired chairman of Benjamin Moore & Co. and a past recipient of the Litter Award.
The award recognizes individuals "who have personified in words and deeds the noblest traditions in the United States of America and the Anti-Defamation League."
Abrams joined Benjamin Moore in 1995 and was named to his current position earlier this year. He has published more than a dozen papers on thermodynamics, and is credited with the development of the UNIQUAC equation, a chemical-industry model used to describe liquid behavior.
