Specialty Coating Systems Equipment Meets RoHS Requirements
September 1, 2006
INDIANAPOLIS - Specialty Coating Systems (SCS) has confirmed that its equipment lines meet the requirements of the European Union's Restriction on the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2002/95/EC, which went into effect July 1, 2006.
The RoHS directive stipulates that all new electronics products and equipment sold in Europe after July 1 must be free of certain hazardous materials, including lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium. Other countries, including China and Japan, and individual states within the United States are also developing similar directives.
