Dunn-Edwards announced an agreement with Amazon Environmental to launch a cooperative venture.

LOS ANGELES — Dunn-Edwards Corp. announced an agreement with Amazon Environmental Inc. to launch a cooperative venture to produce and market recycled latex paint in the southwestern United States. Under the agreement, Amazon will act as Dunn-Edwards’ exclusive supplier of recycled latex paint and Dunn-Edwards will act as Amazon’s exclusive distributor of recycled latex paint. The territory includes California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, and Nevada.

Dunn-Edwards said the agreement is expected to significantly expand the availability and use of recycled latex paint, and address the market-development and processing-capacity problems affecting paint-recycling programs.

Amazon Environmental, Whittier, CA, manufactures recycled latex paint and a proprietary latex cement additive. Amazon previously has sold paint primarily to various government agencies and graffiti-abatement programs.
