THE WOODLANDS, Texas - Construction of Huntsman Corporation’s first Asia Pacific polyetheramines site, which broke ground on November 30, 2005, is on schedule and expected to be in commercial production in third-quarter 2007. Because of its longstanding leadership position in the polyetheramine business, Huntsman will continue meeting the global market’s demand for JEFFAMINE® products when its new manufacturing facility in Jurong Island, Singapore, begins operation during 2007.

The new plant will produce 30 million pounds of JEFFAMINE products annually, complementing Huntsman’s larger polyetheramines facilities in Conroe, Texas, and Llanelli, Wales. The new plant will utilize the latest technology to ensure increased safety and environmental performance in line with Huntsman’s global commitment to environment, health and safety, as well as with worldwide and local policies and procedures.
