HEILBRONN, Germany - In line with its growth strategy, MÜNZING has acquired the liquid defoamer business from Hexion Speciality Chemicals B.V. The business will be integrated into MÜNZING’s existing Paper and Coatings Additives business. The acquisition strengthens MÜNZING’s position in the architectural and industrial coatings segments as well as in adhesives.

The transaction includes the transfer of Hexion’s complete liquid defoamer line and all customer relationships. The production of the defoamer line will be integrated into MÜNZING’s additive plant in Heilbronn, Germany, in April 2008.
