A&WMA Issues Call for Abstracts
PITTSBURGH, PA - The Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) has issued a call for abstracts for its conference, Practical Sustainability, to be held May 7-8, 2009, in St. Louis, MO. The conference will focus on sustainability measurement in organizations.
The conference will provide a forum for the exchange of information on how organizations are measuring and demonstrating sustainability in ways that make business sense both financially and culturally.
A&WMA is seeking abstracts that demonstrate innovative, scientific approaches to the implementation of sustainability methods. Suggested topics for abstracts include, but are not limited to: strategy development; implementation; process management; data collection, analysis and reporting; and recognition, incentive and offset opportunities.
Abstracts of 300 words or less should be submitted to Lisa Breese at lbreese@awma.org by Dec. 5, 2008. Authors will be notified of acceptance by Jan. 16, 2009.
