PITTSBURGH - PPG Industries' industrial coatings business has introduced
an American Institute of Architects Continuing Education Systems registered
program called Architectural Applications for Liquid & Powder Fluoropolymer
Coatings. Architects can earn AIA/CES learning units and stay current on the
latest building construction and specification issues with this course, which
is the latest addition to an expanding roster of continuing education programs
PPG offers to architects and building professionals.
The three learning objectives of the new AIA/CES program are to enable
architects to: understand the advantages of liquid and powder coatings for use
on architectural aluminium building components, learn the environmental
considerations and performance requirements of liquid and powder coatings, and
gain a better understanding of color, gloss and aesthetic considerations for
liquid and powder coatings.
PPG offers various free AIA/CES-registered programs on topics related to
architectural glass, paint and high-performance metal coatings. The courses are
taught by PPG representatives throughout the United States and can be scheduled
as lunch presentations at architectural firms or at the time and place of a
firm's choice. Each course lasts approximately one hour.
