PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Conference has announced the opening of registration for Pittcon 2009 Short Courses to be held March 7-13, 2009. Courses are offered in more than 60 topic areas and will range in length from half to two-day sessions. They are designed for beginning, intermediate or advanced students to further technical knowledge and provide intensive practical training in specific disciplines. Topics offered include a hands-on example of how to develop a PLS regression model, quality assurance of FT-IR spectra, qualification and validation of lab equipment and systems, an introduction to helium ion microscopy and its analytical capabilities, and basic concepts and practices of drug metabolism for analytical chemists.
