São Paulo, Brazil/Münster, Germany - BASF Coatings in Brazil has received the Prêmio Interação Mercedes-Benz award. Mercedes-Benz has awarded this prize to its most important suppliers of 2008 for outstanding results in quality, cost reduction and cooperation.

 

The only paint manufacturer to receive an award, BASF has supplied Mercedes in Brazil with automotive paints for more than three decades. In 2008 alone, BASF Coatings supplied Mercedes-Benz with 35 different paints, including polyester and polyurethane paints.

 

“We worked intensively to develop special colors in order to meet our customer’s requirements,” added Rene Postema, head of Automotive Coatings in South America. BASF even exceeded Mercedes’ expectations and met all the agreed delivery dates.

 

“The prize is a distinction for the entire team, which concentrates on continued improvement of the products and services and has achieved outstanding results in everything they do," Postema said.
