HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, UK – OMNOVA Performance Chemicals (U.K.) Ltd., a business of U.S.-based OMNOVA Solutions Inc., celebrated its 10-year anniversary this summer. Based in Hemel Hempstead in Hertfordshire, the United Kingdom, the business was established in 1999 when OMNOVA’s former parent company, GenCorp, merged its styrene butadiene latex operations in Europe with the newly acquired Morton International floor care and Sequa Chemicals paper businesses in the region. Under the leadership of Andy Higgin, Director of European Operations, and his predecessor, Frank Nataro, current Business Director, OMNOVA Specialty Chemicals, sales for the business have tripled in the last decade.
