SÃO PAULO, Brazil - Fernando Peres, President of ABRAFATI’s Directive Board and Commercial Director of Sherwin-Williams, will speak about the future of the coatings industry in Brazil at the first plenary session for the 11th International Coatings Congress.

“I will try to show how the Brazilian coatings industry, which is one of the largest in the world and has huge growth potential, is going through a process of transformation centered on behavior changes and sustainability, in the environmental, social and economic aspects. This change is the response the industry is giving to the demands of the planet and society for a socially fairer, environmentally more balanced and economically feasible performance,” said Peres.

The technical program for the congress is now available online at www.abrafati2009.com.br. The three-day congress features 72 high-level technical talks in addition to 20 papers presented as posters.
