HEERLEN, The Netherlands - Royal DSM N.V., the global life sciences and materials sciences company headquartered in the Netherlands, has made some management changes.
 
Gerard de Reuver, currently Director of Strategic Projects, will be appointed Business Group Director DSM Dyneema as of April 1, 2010. De Reuver’s current responsibilities, which include managing a dedicated taskforce to deal with the changed economic environment as well as a culture change program, have now been transferred to the business groups, with a coordinating role for Corporate Finance and Corporate Human Resources, respectively. De Reuver, will report to Nico Gerardu, member of the DSM Managing Board.
 
Christophe Dardel, currently the Business Group Director of DSM Dyneema, will be appointed President of DSM Biomedical as of May 15, 2010. Dardel has developed DSM Dyneema to its current level and will now have the responsibility of growing the DSM Biomedical business. In his new role he will report to Rob van Leen, DSM Chief Innovation Officer.
 
Steve Hartig, currently President of DSM Biomedical, will support Dardel through the transition and will then be promoted to his next leadership role with DSM; an announcement regarding his new role will be made on a later date.
