MENTOR, OH – The alliance between the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) and Chemsultants International has expanded; Chemsultants International has been selected as the preferred hands-on training facility for PSTC members and other industry members.

In 2005, the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) and Chemsultants International formed an Alliance for Excellence in Tape Testing. PSTC and Chemsultants formed the alliance to provide educational opportunities and resources on proven tape testing methods and state-of-the-art tape testing equipment. During the past five years, the relationship has continued to grow and has now taken a new turn, with Chemsultants’ state-of-the-art technical facility in Mentor, OH, being named the preferred hand-on training facility.

In September 2010, a new PSTC Education Program focusing on manufacturing and testing will be held at the Mentor facility. This program is one part of the PSTC education series, offering training from the fundamentals to advanced concepts. This new module will provide true hands-on experience in the testing laboratory as well as on actual 24-inch-wide pilot coating, laminating and converting equipment. Another program is being developed for the summer of 2011 that will focus on applications for PSA tape developed for technical and sales specialists in the business.
