KREFELD, Germany - The Uerdingen, Germany-based specialty chemicals producer Tronox Pigments GmbH has changed its name. As of immediately, the international producer of white pigments and specialty products will operate under the new name of crenox GmbH.

 

“The new name crenox signifies the relaunch of the company,” crenox Insolvency Administrator Eberhard Stock emphasized. After going into insolvency over a year ago, the company has been turned around and is now operating very successfully. Sales volumes increased year on year by over 80 percent, a situation that is forecast to continue in the coming quarters. The company currently employs around 550 people.

 

The name crenox was chosen as it connects the location (Krefeld-Uerdingen) with the product name (titanium dioxide) and simultaneously emphasizes continuity. A newly developed corporate design accompanies the name change.

 

A completely redesigned Web site is due to go online in the next few weeks under www.crenox.com (English) and www.crenox.de (German), respectively.
