EAST WINDSOR, NJ – Elementis Worldwide Inc., a subsidiary of Elementis plc, has signed on to be the first tenant at East Windsor’s SciPark, the Princeton, NJ, area’s most cutting-edge life science and technology campus.

The specialty chemicals company recently signed a long-term lease for 65,552 square feet - the entirety of Building 1 - at the campus, which will be used for the company’s global headquarters. Three additional buildings at the campus are available.

“We are now seeing the original vision for SciPark and the Einstein’s Alley initiative come to life,” said Stephen Santola, Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Woodmont Properties. Einstein’s Alley is a private, non-profit economic development initiative that aims to make Central New Jersey the destination for technology companies. “As the most advanced high-tech campus available in the region, SciPark is strongly positioned to meet the needs of companies such as Elementis that demand cutting-edge facilities designed with the requirements of today’s modern technology, research and life sciences companies in mind,” Santola added.

Designed by leading architectural firm CUH2A, which specializes in science and technology facilities, SciPark is a four-building, 240,000-square-foot Class A campus that offers an attractive option for companies in search of state-of-the-art facilities in the heart of Einstein’s Alley, with easy access to major northeastern metropolitan hubs such as New York City and Philadelphia.

Elementis is relocating approximately 125 employees from its existing, outdated New Jersey headquarters. The $10 million interior build-out of Elementis’ space at SciPark is planned to begin in April 2011, and the firm expects to take occupancy during the first quarter of 2012.
