LOUISVILLE, KY - Nuplex Resins, Louisville KY, has announced a price increase for coating resins sold in North America effective Feb. 14, 2011. The increase will be approximately 5-10 percent for acrylic resins, emulsions, amino resins and alkyds. Raw materials are again faced with increasing costs, which are being driven by surging propylene prices, monomer pricing, increasing solvent costs and global demand patterns.
