Specialty materials company Rohm and Haas has extended its line of environmentally advanced Robond™ adhesives with the addition of the new Robond PS-1000 series of aqueous acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives for protective applications. Formulated to be direct-coated on polyolefin films used to protect a variety of building products, durable goods and automotive exteriors, this new series offers a range of adhesive levels and properties to meet the widely varying tack and adhesion requirements of the rapidly growing protective films market.

The result is a broad selection of high-performance, water-based adhesives for protective films.

Common to all of the water-based acrylic adhesives in the new Robond PS-1000 line is the easy removability of the film over time, a critical feature for the full spectrum of protective applications. These applications include coated and uncoated metal and smooth surfaces (low to medium adhesion requirements); extruded profile, glass, plastic sheets and painted surfaces (medium adhesion); as well as textiles, carpet and other low surface energy substrates (high adhesion).

The water-based adhesives contain no solvents and therefore eliminate the expense used for solvent recovery or incineration systems, while also greatly reducing emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in finished products. For more information, visithttp://go.rohmhaas.com/Robond/PS1000.
