AkzoNobel has introduced stickerfix™, the industry’s first pre-coated adhesive film DIY paint solution. Scheduled for distribution to U.S. and Canadian automotive retail outlets in early 2013, stickerfix harnesses advanced ultrathin adhesive film technology together with the superior color match capabilities of the company’s premium Sikkens waterborne coatings, to create a revolutionary method for helping car owners conceal paint scratches and chips any time they need it.

“We were extremely encouraged about the enthusiasm we received from consumers during the initial field trials,” said Troy Russell, Commercial Manager North America, Stickerfix Vehicle Refinishes. “AkzoNobel has taken a bold step in developing a unique product that takes the finish quality of a professional body shop repair straight to the consumer. No other DIY paint solution comes close to the color match, ease and speed with which consumers can quickly deal with unsightly scratches and chips.”

  • Clean– Wipe dirt and grime from the area of application.
  • Select and Stick– Select the appropriate size and shape of pre-painted and pre-cut film piece. Peel off and affix the adhesive film to the desired area.
