TORONTO, Canada - Lorama Inc., manufacturer of sustainable raw materials and color technology solutions for the coatings industry, has opened a new production and warehouse facility that will increase efficiency in manufacturing processes and enhance performance output. The result will be an annual production capacity of up to 16 million liters of product. The 43,670-square-foot building is located on four acres in Rexdale, the industrial heart of Toronto.

Universal tinting systems (ColourFal), in-plant color dispersions, custom color dispersions and other proprietary additives will be manufactured in the new location.

A key area of the new facility will focus on the ColourFal glycol and zero-VOC colorants. Maximized utilization of available resources will also allow for toll manufacturing capabilities. The colorant product portfolio will be further enhanced through the addition of a new industrial line in 2014.

Housed in the new location is an expansive team of technical color specialists focusing on research and development, quality control, and color matching. Lorama will provide ongoing support to customers with a specialized laboratory dedicated to customer training. Educational topics include: tinting system design and performance, colorant and paint technologies, and color theory.

As a former manufacturing site for Beckers Paints, the facility has a fully operational tank farm and large state-of-the-art Class 3 warehouse racking system with 1,100 pallet spaces, making it ideal for storage of hazardous raw materials and finished goods.
