Brenntag AG, a global market leader in full-line chemical distribution, is exhibiting at Stand 4-606. Linking chemical manufacturers and chemical users, the company provides business-to-business distribution solutions for industrial and specialty chemicals globally. With over 10,000 products and a highly diverse supplier base, Brenntag offers solutions to about 160,000 customers. Headquartered in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, the company operates a global network with more than 400 locations in 70 countries.

Brenntag purchases and stores large-scale quantities of industrial and specialty chemicals from various suppliers, repackages them into smaller quantities and provides a full line of chemicals in less-than-truckload quantities. Representatives at the Stand can discuss value-added services such as just-in-time delivery, product mixing, formulation, repackaging, inventory management, drum return handling as well as technical services.

The company recently expanded its service portfolio for the coating and construction industries at its technical center in Budapest, Hungary. The new application lab offers applications technology and test equipment for polymer dispersions needed as binders for interior architectural paints. The expansion enables Brenntag to help its local customers in Hungary as well as in Austria, Romania, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia. It also encourages the exchange of know-how and promotes internationally recognized quality standards in the region.

“This application lab again proves that Brenntag is more than simply a provider of chemical products for its customers,” comments Helmut Struger, CEO Brenntag CEE. Furthermore, the investment demonstrates Brenntag CEE’s focus on the coating and construction industry in the region. “The extended technical support will also assist customers in the paints and coatings sector to develop new products and applications for the regional markets with regard to locally available raw materials and environmental conditions according to their special needs,” commented Andras Szakolczai, Managing Director of Brenntag Hungary.
