ARDMORE, OK – IFS Coatings unveiled its new powder coating manufacturing plant in Ardmore, OK, on June 19, 2014. The grand opening, attended by the local Ardmore community and IFS customers, showcased the new facility, which will produce high-volume, Class A and functional powder coating finishes requiring extensive quality control.

“We are extremely proud of our Ardmore factory and excited about the opportunities it holds for us,” said Glynn Mason, IFS Coatings’ President. “It was a significant investment, and it cements our commitment to producing first-class powder coatings and expanding our reach, despite recent economic uncertainty.”

The new powder coatings plant was designed using the lean manufacturing concept. It utilizes several production lines as well as a state-of-the-art quality laboratory testing facility and the very latest in HVAC air control and ancillary plant service equipment. The new facility is in addition to the existing IFS plant, located in Gainesville, TX. The Texas facility produces powder coatings in a range of chemistries, and specializes in quick turnaround times and custom manufacturing. A network of warehouses across the United States supports both manufacturing plants.

“The addition of this innovative new plant strengthens our powder manufacturing footprint and means we can respond to the increasing demand for IFS coatings as well as better serve our customers across the U.S. and beyond,” Mason said.

The Ardmore plant is now up and running, with the first powder coatings already shipped to customers.
