Growing up in Cleveland, I wasn't exactly belligerent. Perhaps I was merely a pugilist. One of the most common taunts from the neighborhood bully was, "You wanna start something?" I wasn't the type to back down.
If we lived in a perfect world, we wouldn't need a book such as this one by Judith Pietschmann. Unfortunately not everything occurs as planned. Hence, the need for a guide to assist in determining the cause and effect of powder coating defects. This book provides a "concise, practical and robust" examination of myriad problems that can occur in the use of organic powder coatings. Replete with excellent photography, Pietschmann provides a broad compendium of surface defects encountered in powder coating. The book is a translation of the German text, which was published prior to this English version.
The E-coat extravaganza was uniquely organized. Conference papers were presented consecutively in one hall, with each presentation limited to about 20 minutes. The last speaker finished around 4 p.m. At that juncture, the attendees' focus was redirected to supplier hospitality suites, which were used in place of traditional exhibition floor booths. Technical, sales and marketing people were available in each suite, as well as an assortment of fine munchies and adult beverages. About 20 suites were set up.
