Duration: 30 minutes, including LIVE Q&A
The coatings industry has spent much of the last decade identifying approaches to reduce VOCs. Emerald Kalama Chemical has focused on addressing this challenge with a new line of low-VOC benzoate coalescent technology for waterborne paint. Latest developments include K-FLEX® 975P and K-FLEX® 850S which have been introduced for use in interior latex architectural paint. These products were also found to work well in exterior paint. A lower VOC product, K-FLEX® 500P and two new monobenzoates were found to be effective in coatings. Results of testing in interior architectural paint will be presented to demonstrate utility of the new products.
By attending this webinar, you will learn:
- K-FLEX® coalescents will significantly reduce the VOC content of paints
- K-FLEX® coalescents are at the same efficiency as the high-VOC commercial coalescents in most instances
-
Paint utilizing K-FLEX® coalescents perform as well as, or better than, paint based on high-VOC commercial coalescents
- Better scrub resistance
- Improved gloss
- Equivalent blocking resistance
