SOUTHFIELD, MI – Car manufacturer FCA honored the entire Dürr de México team with a Supplier Recognition Award for its exceptional performance during the launch of the Jeep® Compass at the Toluca Assembly Plant.

FCA designed the Compass to expand the Jeep brand's global reach. To help accomplish this goal, the automaker expected excellence from its supply base.

"While a new product launch often presents unique challenges, Dürr was recognized for its outstanding dedication, sense of urgency and focus on quality among all suppliers working on this program," said Steffen Zörn, Managing Director of Dürr de México, who accepted the award at the FCA Mexico Supplier Town Hall, held at the Club de Banqueros in Mexico City.

A big part of the award was due to Dürr's building modifications and expansion. The automaker's paint booths were equipped with the latest Dürr paint and sealing robots, application technology, paint circulation systems, special paint supply systems and a new two-tone process for the recent Jeep Compass model. Dürr also delivered the visualization network.

With the award, FCA also recognized Dürr for its continuing support of production in Toluca after the start of operations in 2017.
