FOCUS Conference Issues Call for Speakers

The FOCUS Committee of the Detroit Society for Coatings Technology announced that it will host the 2023 FOCUS conference on May 4, 2023. The FOCUS conference is again returning in-person with the theme “Opportunities Driving Development!” The 47th annual FOCUS conference will host subject matter experts and industry leaders in the automotive body paint sector who will present their latest challenges and developments. Members of academia join bringing fresh talent to the industry with their student poster competition. Session topics for 2023 will include digital paint developments, cost to coat modeling, sustainability, four wet paintable sealers, anti-corrosion coatings, specialty coatings, color modeling, and others!
The conference is also calling for abstracts. Interested speakers to submit an abstract (<500 words) of their suggested contribution. by sending an email to call4abstracts@dsctfocus.org. In addition to the abstract, include the title of the talk, the name of the speaker, and email address of the speaker. The submission deadline is February 10, 2023, and the notification of acceptance is expected on March 3, 2023.
This conference is a staple for paint and coatings professionals in Southeast Michigan and beyond. Held both virtually and at the Inn at St. John's in Plymouth, Michigan, the FOCUS conference continues to highlight emerging technology, market trends, industry standards, test methods, and other topics relevant to the field.
