For almost 50 years, the Detroit Society for Coatings Technology’s FOCUS Conference has been a mainstay for paint and coatings professionals in Southeast Michigan and beyond. It has continued to attract global experts and leaders in the automotive coatings industry to share the latest challenges and developments.

The theme for the 2025 FOCUS Conference, which will take place May 1 in Livonia, Michigan, is Collaboration Driving Innovation. The DSCT is now accepting abstract submissions. In the spirit of the theme, the conference invites collaborative projects involving research, application, benchmarking or a paint shop topic for speakers to co-present. Also of interest are presentations on emerging technologies or sustainable solutions that may or may not be commercial yet, but are pertinent to the automotive industry.

Interested speakers can submit an abstract of <500 words to call4abstracts@dsctfocus.org. Be sure to include the title of the presentation, as well as the speaker’s name and email address. The submission deadline is January 17, 2025. Notification of acceptance is expected on February 7, 2025.
