Axalta Coating Systems has introduced Evergreen Sprint as its 2025 Global Automotive Color of the Year. The new shade is a deep forest green that pays tribute to the iconic British racing green.

Evergreen Sprint is the second green shade to be named Axalta’s color of the year. The company’s color experts noted the growing popularity of green in the automotive market. According to Axalta’s 2023 Global Automotive Color Popularity Report, green is currently found on about two percent of vehicles worldwide.

In addition to its nod to British racing green, Evergreen Sprint is also designed to bring a sense of sophistication to a wide range of vehicles. The color is expected to be a popular choice for sedans and SUVs.

Axalta’s Global Color Marketing Director, Dan Benton, described Evergreen Sprint as a “striking hue” that captures the spirit of performance and adventure.

“Evergreen Sprint stands out on the road and evokes the spirit of performance, competition and adventure. The dynamic color is sure to attract the attention of passionate drivers,” Benton said.

Axalta has been naming a Global Automotive Color of the Year since 2015. The company’s color experts work to identify emerging trends and up-and-coming shades for the automotive market.
