Pittsburgh Paints Company announced the appointment of Brian Carson as chief executive officer. Carson, who has more than 30 years of experience in the building products industry, was most recently president and CEO of AHF Products, where he led growth through innovation and acquisitions. He previously spent 12 years at Mohawk Industries, serving as president of Mohawk Flooring North America.

Carson’s appointment follows additional leadership changes at the company, including Joe Durham as chief financial officer and Brian Padden as president, retail. Durham previously served as CFO at Cabinetworks Group and Masco Cabinetry, while Padden spent 30 years at Sherwin-Williams, most recently as president of the Consumer Brands Group.

“As we embark on this new chapter, our customers remain at the heart of everything we do,” Carson said. “Our strategy will prioritize strong partnerships, open communication, and innovative offerings to drive long-term growth.”

The company said the leadership appointments align with its strategy to enhance innovation, strengthen customer relationships, and position itself as a leading coatings provider in North America.
