Arkema Earns ISCC PLUS Certification for U.S. UV-LED-EB Resin Sites

Arkema has earned ISCC PLUS certification for its UV-LED-EB resin production facilities in Chatham, Virginia, and West Chester, Pennsylvania. The certification applies to specialty (meth)acrylate oligomers and monomers produced at both U.S. sites and enables the company to offer bio-attributed energy-curable solutions globally.
The certified sites expand Arkema’s network of ISCC PLUS-compliant operations, which also includes facilities in Nansha, China, and Villers-Saint-Paul, France. The Sartomer® range of energy-curable materials is used in a variety of applications, including coatings, adhesives, inks, electronics, 3D printing, and green mobility.
“ISCC PLUS is an important certification for our industry, and we can now offer customers worldwide access to our bio-attributed UV-LED-EB oligomers and monomers,” said Stephanie Montag, regional president, Sartomer Americas. “This achievement also expands our network of certified facilities in support of diverse industries and technologies, helping companies across the value chain to reach their objectives of carbon footprint reduction.”
The Sartomer® portfolio includes bio-attributed materials made using mass-balance methodology and offers up to 85% biobased content. Some products also carry the USDA Certified Biobased Product label through the USDA BioPreferred® Program.
Arkema’s broader Coating Solutions strategy includes the progressive introduction of bio-attributed specialty resins and additives across a variety of chemistries, including high solids, waterborne, UV-LED-EB, and polyester powder materials.
