Nouryon Reports Sustainability Gains in 2024

Nouryon published its sixth annual sustainability report, highlighting progress in sustainable innovation and environmental performance during 2024. The company reported that 35% of its annual revenue came from its portfolio of Eco-Premium Solutions, and 74% of its R&D pipeline focused on sustainability-driven products. Notable launches included Expancel® BIO microspheres and Berol® Nexus surfactant.
The company reduced absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 19% compared to a 2019 baseline and sourced 56% of its total electricity from renewable and low-carbon sources. Currently, 28 manufacturing sites operate on 100% renewable or low-carbon electricity.
Nouryon also strengthened supplier assessments, with 74% of its supplier spend evaluated by EcoVadis, and retained a Gold rating—placing the company in the top 3% of all companies assessed. The report includes disclosures aligned with GRI, SASB, and TCFD frameworks.
