Global Volunteer Effort Reflects Company’s Community Focus

Michelman held its 14th Annual Commitment to Community Day on September 12, 2025, closing offices, labs and plants so associates could volunteer with local nonprofits. In the United States, teams partnered with groups including Brick Gardens, Easterseals Redwood, Freestore Foodbank, Great Parks of Hamilton County, Operation Give Back and United Way. Projects ranged from preparing garden beds and hosting activities to packaging food, enhancing facilities and building or painting furniture for families.
In Europe, volunteers in Luxembourg and Belgium worked with schools and community organizations such as La Petite Plante, Fondation Kraizbierg, Croix-Rouge de Belgique and others. Activities included weeding and maintaining flowerbeds, planting seasonal flowers, repainting and varnishing school facilities, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, assembling furniture and improving lighting in playgrounds.
Across Asia, associates supported children, families and environmental initiatives. In Pune, India, volunteers assisted SAMPARC Bal Asha Ghar with landscaping and donations. In Shanghai, employees joined a science education program on household waste and completed a beach cleanup along the Lingang shoreline. In Singapore, teams assembled solar lights with SolarBuddy for children living in energy poverty.
“Our Commitment to Community Day is about more than volunteering,” said Rick Michelman, president and CEO. “It honors the partnerships we’ve built with organizations that make lasting impacts in their communities.”
