Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine introduced Acrolon™ 680, a single-coat, high-solids polyurethane formulated to streamline coating applications for industrial and marine assets. The direct-to-metal coating simplifies application with minimal surface preparation and quick dry times while providing chemical resistance and long-term durability. Acrolon 680 can be applied directly to SSPC-SP2 hand tool cleaned steel, reducing installation time compared to multi-coat systems. It can also be applied by spray, brush or roller, offering flexibility for shop and field use. Featuring 65% volume solids and less than 340 g/L VOCs, the coating delivers high gloss, color retention and lasting protection under harsh conditions.
