PPG announced Secret Safari (PPG1110-4) as its 2026 Color of the Year, a yellow-green shade chosen for its ability to bring both comfort and energy to a wide range of environments. The selection reflects PPG’s continued focus on color design as a bridge between natural balance and creative expression.

The company’s color experts identified Secret Safari after global research across architecture, design, consumer behavior, and material innovation. The hue leads PPG’s 2026 color theme, Parallels, which features three palettes: Authentic, Visionary, and Expressive. Each palette offers a different interpretation of modern design through earthy, contrasted, or vibrant tones.

“Secret Safari is a versatile shade that adapts to its surroundings,” said Irina Hanhisalo, color category lead for architectural coatings at PPG. “It evokes a sense of calm in natural daylight and reveals layered depth in shadowed settings, making it a flexible choice for both residential and commercial spaces.”

In interiors, the color’s botanical undertones enhance connection to nature, while in industrial and product applications it conveys freshness and durability. PPG’s color forecasting team noted that Secret Safari’s balanced characteristics make it suitable for both minimal and expressive design approaches.

The color will appear throughout PPG’s 2026 trend collections and across its decorative and industrial coatings portfolios.
