Barentz announced an expanded distribution agreement with Huntsman Performance Products that will extend its responsibilities across the United States and Canada beginning January 1, 2026.

Under the agreement, Barentz will distribute Huntsman’s JEFFCAT® line of catalysts throughout North America. The companies have an existing distribution relationship tied to Huntsman’s polyurethane product line, and the expanded agreement adds coverage for catalysts used in a range of urethane applications.

According to the companies, the JEFFCAT catalyst portfolio supports applications including polyether and polyester foams, coatings, elastomers and high-modulus urethane plastics.

“The addition of the JEFFCAT® line enables Barentz to further expand the Huntsman portfolio to our large customer base,” said Jonathon Rhodes, senior vice president market growth and principal development performance materials at Barentz. “This move continues the development of a strong polyurethane-focused business and further solidifies Huntsman’s position as one of our most vital partners.”

Richard Tyler, commercial director Americas at Huntsman Performance Products, said the expanded relationship supports customers and shared growth objectives.

Barentz provides specialty ingredient solutions across life sciences and performance materials markets, while Huntsman manufactures and markets differentiated and specialty chemicals for a broad range of industrial applications.

This agreement reflects continued activity in distribution partnerships supporting access to additives and catalysts used in polyurethane and coatings applications.
