BASF announced it will increase prices for a range of amines in North America, effective April 6, 2026, or as existing contracts permit.
The company said the increases are driven by higher logistics costs and rising raw material feedstock costs, citing global petrochemical market pressures and impacts from the Middle East situation.
Price adjustments include increases of $0.10/lb for alkylethanolamines such as DMEA and MDEA, $0.20/lb for 2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethanol (ADEG), and up to $0.20/lb for dimethylisopropanolamine (DMIPOA). Other products, including ethyleneamines, morpholine and triethylamine, will also see increases ranging from $0.10/lb to $0.15/lb.
The portfolio includes intermediates used across a range of applications, including coatings, where amines are used in curing agents, neutralizers and formulation components for resins and additives.
BASF said its amines portfolio spans approximately 300 products, serving industries including coatings, plastics, composites and specialty chemicals.
