Diamond Vogel Sells Architectural Retail Locations

Diamond Vogel sold select architectural paint store locations to JC Licht and Ewert Supply as part of a strategic shift to focus more fully on its core manufacturing business. Grace Matthews served as financial adviser to Diamond Vogel on both transactions.
Diamond Vogel is implementing a strategic transformation in its approach to the architectural coatings market. As part of the shift, the company is divesting company-owned retail stores that primarily serve painting contractors, homeowners and maintenance professionals.
JC Licht agreed to acquire multiple Diamond Vogel architectural paint business locations in Wisconsin, including Madison and Appleton, along with certain assets in the Milwaukee area. JC Licht plans to continue operations at these sites and retain all current employees.
Ewert Supply agreed to acquire two Diamond Vogel architectural paint business locations in Casper, Wyoming and McCook, Nebraska. Ewert Supply also plans to continue operations at these sites and retain all current employees.
Diamond Vogel is a paint and coatings manufacturer based in Orange City, Iowa. Founded in 1926, the company provides coating solutions for the architectural, industrial, farm and home, wood finishes, toll manufacturing, aerosol and traffic markets.
JC Licht is an Illinois-based, family-owned company that has served the Chicagoland area since 1907. Ewert Supply is a Nebraska-based, privately owned company serving the Ogallala area.
