Sherwin-Williams Opens New Cleveland Headquarters

Sherwin-Williams hosted a ceremonial ribbon-cutting for the grand opening of its new global headquarters in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.
The 1,000,000-square-foot campus is part of the company’s Building Our Future project and includes a two-story pavilion serving as a welcome center, a 36-floor office tower and an attached multilevel parking garage. Sherwin-Williams describes Building Our Future as a minimum $860 million investment that includes the new global headquarters and the Morikis Global Technology Center. The company said the headquarters campus was designed to bring teams together and support collaboration, creativity and innovation.
“This grand opening marks a defining moment in the Company’s 160-year history,” said Heidi G. Petz, Sherwin-Williams chair, president and CEO. “Our new global headquarters is a strategic investment in our people, our customers and our hometown. It reflects who we are today and how we intend to lead in the future. Most importantly, it strengthens how we support the teams closest to our customers, every day and in every market.”
Sherwin-Williams said the workplace is intended to help serve customers, retain and attract employees, create opportunities to celebrate the brand and support future development near its headquarters. The company has called Northeast Ohio home since 1866.
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and Cleveland Mayor Justin M. Bibb were among the public officials who provided remarks at the ceremony. Additional remarks were provided in person or by video by U.S. Sen. Bernie Moreno, U.S. Sen. Jon Husted, U.S. Rep. Shontel Brown, Ohio State Sen. Nickie Antonio, Ohio State Rep. Terrence Upchurch, Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne, Cleveland City Council President Blaine Griffin and Cleveland City Councilwoman Stephanie Howse-Jones.
