Sherwin-Williams announced the start-up of operations at the company’s Aerospace Service and Training Facility in Andover, KS.

CLEVELAND — The Sherwin-Williams Co. announced the start-up of operations at the company’s Aerospace Service and Training Facility in Andover, KS, near Wichita.

The facility, located near the Sherwin-Williams Aerospace division’s coatings production plant in Andover, features a temperature- and humidity-controlled coatings spray booth that can simulate climatic conditions anywhere in the world, said Aerospace Coatings Business Unit Director George McCarthy. The facility also houses coatings-application training programs, research and development labs, and the division’s color design group. McCarthy said the facility consolidates all of Sherwin-Williams’ worldwide aviation customer-service and marketing activities, and will enhance the company’s capability to develop improved formulations and new colors.
