Jotun Launches Hardtop XP II Protective Topcoat

Jotun has launched Hardtop XP II, a next-generation topcoat designed for shipping, infrastructure, energy and other applications requiring long-term steel protection.
The product builds on Jotun’s Hardtop XP range, which the company said has sold more than 300 million liters since its launch in 2006.
Jotun said Hardtop XP II offers faster curing to help reduce downtime and doubled initial hardness to limit surface damage during handling. The company also said the coating is designed to protect steel against ultraviolet radiation, chemicals, water exposure and physical damage over time.
Hardtop XP II is also intended to provide long-term color and gloss retention and improved resistance to dirt pickup. Jotun said the product has been tested across multiple climates and application conditions.
