Pflaumer Brothers Targets Epoxy Flow and Finish With New Hardener

Pflaumer Brothers has introduced TERAMINE 392, a modified cycloaliphatic amine hardener designed for high-solids, medium-cure epoxy coating systems.
The curing agent is compatible with bisphenol A and bisphenol F epoxy resins and is intended to provide low viscosity, color stability and durable finished-film performance in commercial and industrial coatings.
TERAMINE 392 has a reported viscosity of less than 80 cP, supporting flow, leveling and application by conventional spray, roller or brush. Potential applications include industrial flooring, maintenance and protective coatings, pipe and tank linings, containers, concrete repair systems and sealers.

According to the company, coatings formulated with the hardener offer high gloss, low color and resistance to blushing and carbamation. The product is also designed to maintain toughness at ambient and lower temperatures.
Its compatibility with epoxy resins modified with reactive and nonreactive diluents gives formulators additional flexibility when developing coatings requiring chemical resistance and durable film performance.
TERAMINE 392 can support high-solids and solvent-free formulations, helping manufacturers reduce solvent content while maintaining application and performance properties. The company said the hardener can be formulated at a 2:1 volume ratio with bisphenol A epoxy resins as an alternative to conventional epoxy coating technologies.
Pflaumer Brothers recommends laboratory and field testing to determine appropriate formulation and application conditions. Its technical service team offers support with formulation development, performance testing and application evaluation.
