Sealless ANSI Pumps Target Corrosive Fluid Transfer

Finish Thompson Inc. has highlighted two ANSI dimensional sealless pumps in its ULTRAChem® centrifugal magnetic-drive line for transferring corrosive fluids.
The UCR and UCP Series use standardized dimensions intended to simplify equipment installation, replacement and integration into existing chemical-processing systems. Both feature a sealless magnetic-drive design engineered for leak-free operation without double mechanical seals or seal-support systems.
The UCR Series is designed for severe chemical-processing applications. Its construction includes pure ethylene tetrafluoroethylene, or ETFE, housing and barrier linings, molded-over magnets, ductile iron components and neodymium magnets.
UCR operating specifications include:
- Working pressures up to 300 psi
- Temperatures up to 250 °F
- Flow rates from 1 to 1,450 gpm
The UCP Series combines polypropylene and ETFE construction as a more economical alternative to pumps made exclusively with ETFE. The lined pumps provide working pressures up to 300 psi, operating temperatures up to 180 °F and flow rates up to 450 gpm.
Applications for both series include plating, mining, chemical and metal manufacturing, and fume-scrubber service. The pumps are intended for operations where corrosion resistance, equipment uptime and maintenance efficiency are priorities.
