APCS Portfolio Targets Low-VOC and Waterborne Coating Systems

Need to Know
- The portfolio includes polyurethane waterproofing systems and low-viscosity HDI-based hardeners for high-solids coatings.
- Hydrophilic isocyanates are being positioned as ready-to-use curing agents for waterborne formulations.
- Specialty amines are also being highlighted for reactivity, chemical resistance and use across multiple coating applications.
Wanhua Chemical is presenting a portfolio of coatings raw materials and formulation technologies at the 2026 Asia Pacific Coatings Show in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The company’s display includes polyurethane-based waterproof coating systems intended for protective applications. It is also highlighting low-viscosity HDI-based hardeners for non-yellowing, high-solids coatings formulated with reduced VOC content.
For waterborne systems, Wanhua is showcasing its Easaqua hydrophilic isocyanate series. The company describes the products as ready-to-use curing agents intended to improve crosslinking efficiency in waterborne coatings.
The lineup also includes MXDA and 1,3-BAC specialty amines. Wanhua said the materials provide high reactivity, chemical resistance and flexibility across coating applications.
The Asia Pacific Coatings Show is being held Aug. 26–28. Wanhua presented the announcement as a portfolio showcase. The company did not characterize every highlighted technology as a new commercial launch, although it identified the specialty amines as new products.
