Aerospace Cutting Fluid Targets Difficult-to-Machine Alloys
FUCHS Lubricants will feature ECOCOOL GLOBAL 1000 at IMTS 2026, taking place Sept. 14-19 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The aerospace-grade, water-miscible cutting and grinding fluid will be displayed at booth 431832.
The fluid uses a specialized lubricity package for titanium, nickel-based alloys, aluminum, stainless steel and steel. It supports drilling, turning, milling, threading and grinding operations.
FUCHS says the formulation provides low foam formation, high-pressure stability, effective wetting and rinsing, long bath life and compatibility with a broad range of water hardness levels. It is formulated without boron, secondary amines, formaldehyde-releasing biocides, MEA or silicon.
Approvals and conformance include Airbus AIPS 00-00-010, Boeing BAC 5008 Sections 5 and 6, SAFRAN PR6300 and Rolls-Royce CSS 129/131 Category 2.
