Solid-Liquid Eductor Supports Faster Mixing Without Moving Parts
Flexicon has launched the FlexEductor™ liquid mixing eductor system, extending its equipment line into solid-liquid mixing and blending.
A centrifugal, twin-screw or rotary lobe pump drives liquid through a patented nozzle positioned upstream of the solids inlet. The resulting Venturi vacuum draws powder from the induction hopper into the mixing zone to produce lump-free blends and shorten batch times.
The eductor has no moving parts and is available in sanitary stainless steel with clean-in-place capability. Flexicon says the design minimizes clogging and maintenance.
The system can receive solids from bulk bag dischargers, bag dump stations, flexible screw conveyors, pneumatic conveyors and loss-in-weight batching systems. Options include multiple sizes, custom skid mounting, batch or surge tanks and a handheld wand inlet for direct pickup from open-top containers.
